Dublin resident Deborah "profe" Lemon named Ohlone College's Faculty of the Month for September 2012 - Article, Office of College Advancement

Ohlone College announced September 2012's Faculty of the Month: Deborah "profe" Lemon.
Deborah Lemon has built and authored an internationally recognized grammar website that has been cited in many publications and legal documents. She authored several course packs for Distance Education at UNC-Chapel Hill. She has served on the TACO (Technical) committee, Online Pioneers, and is now on the Distance Education committee. She's has been invited to teach Educational Technology workshops at conferences throughout the US. After creating and building the online Virtual Laboratory at Ohlone College in 2000-2001, she is now pioneering the Facebook platform for in-person, hybrid and online classes. Last fall, she designed a prototype for a synchronous CyberClass working with a college students on the East Coast.
A staunch supporter of kinesthetic learning, Profe Lemon can be seen wandering the Ohlone College Newark Campus with her students engaged in projects and activities.
Additionally, she is a professional dancer who has performed at the opening and closing of the King Tut exhibit at the De Young Museum, in Las Vegas, Montreal and Orlando. With her partner Numa'ir, she won the 2008 International Belly Dancer of the Year Duet competition and was the 2008 Double Crown Gemini winner.
Profe Lemon loves coffee, Project Runway, Anthropologie, and fostering service dogs!
