The Ohlone College District is looking for community members interested in serving on the Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee as the at-large community member or the senior citizen group representative to oversee the implementation of the Measure G bond program.
Measure G is a $349-million bond measure, passed by voters in 2010, which authorizes funding for repairs, upgrades and construction projects primarily on Ohlone College's Fremont campus.
The Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee is appointed by the Ohlone College Board of Trustees to work with the college district to ensure that Measure G funds are spent only for school facilities.
The open positions are for an at-large community member, who must be a resident of the Ohlone Community College District (Fremont, Newark or Union City), and a senior citizen group representative, who must be an active member in a senior citizens' organization (such as AARP or SIRS).
Interested individuals should download an application at ohlonebond.com/application-for-membership/. Applications can be mailed to Ohlone Community College District, Administrative Services Office, 43600 Mission Blvd., Fremont, Calif. 94539 or faxed to 659-6045.
The application deadline is Tuesday, Feb. 18.
