Holiday Delights - A Winter Concert with a Filipino Twist

Fremont, CA – The fifty-voice Ohlone College Community Chorale presents “Holiday Delights - A Winter Concert with a Filipino Twist,” a concert of delightful international holiday music on Saturday, December 3 at 8:00 p.m. at the Centerville Presbyterian Church in Fremont. Whimsical, fun and traditional holiday favorites will be performed by the Chorale, directed by Darryl Guzman. Featured guests for the concert include the High School Hand Bell choir from Fremont Christian High School, directed by Christy Hitson and The Philippine Saringhimig Singers from San Francisco.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the PHILIPPINE SARINGHIMIG SINGERS is under the musical direction of George Hernandez. Their passion for singing and the artistic direction of Hernandez unites this dynamic choral group to continue to reveal the unique beauty of the Philippine culture through music and achieve excellence in the art of choral music performance. The choir has most recently returned from their summer tour to Spain.

Darryl Guzman, the director of the Ohlone College Community Chorus, is a Bay Area native and has been directing choirs in Fremont since 1980. He is the Fine Arts Department Chair and teaches vocal music and drama at Fremont Christian School.
