Ohlone Citizen’s Bond Oversight Committee Needs Members

Fremont, CA – Ohlone College needs five community members to serve on the Bond Oversight Committee for the $150 million Measure A bond passed by voters in 2002. Committee members represent residents of the Ohlone Community College District ensuring that the bond funds are spent according to the stipulations of the bond. The committee meets four or five times a year.

When the bond passed in 2001 the Ohlone Community College District agreed to have a committee of citizen representatives oversee expenditure of the bond funds. Each committee member can serve one or two 2-year terms. Five members of the committee have had their term limits expire and need to be replaced. Applications are available on the Ohlone College website at: Applications are due February 15th. Applicants are screened and appointed by the Ohlone College Board of Trustees.
