PGA Professional to teach golf for Ohlone College funded by coveted PGA Grant
Fremont, CA—PGA Professional Mike Cowan, Professor in Exercise Science and Wellness at Ohlone College has received a Business for Life grant from the PGA of America. Ohlone College is only the 2nd community college to receive this grant among all of the colleges and universities in the United States to promote the Play Golf America program taught by PGA Golf Professionals. Classes are offered on Saturdays and Sundays beginning June 2nd and 3rd for Ohlone’s summer term and for the Fall semester beginning August 28.
Classes are held at the Country Drives Golf Center in Sunol at 7 am and 11 am on Saturdays and at 7 am on Sundays. All instruction is by PGA Golf Professional Mike Cowan and two PGA assistants Norm Rebholtz and Pat Hallahan. The total cost for each session is $10 for the six-week summer session and $20 for the 14-week fall semester session. This is not a per-lesson cost but covers the entire amount for the session.
