Kres Mersky Returns to Ohlone as Isadora Duncan

Fremont, CA—One of the most fabulous, creative, and artistic women of the 20th century, Isadora Duncan’s unique and often flamboyant personality is revealed in this illuminating portrait by Kres Merksy.

In this production, we meet Isadora near the end of her life, no longer dancing, but still struggling to raise money for her school of dance. Kres Mersky brings Isadora to life brilliantly, as she entices, fascinates and stirs the audience to support her school. Adapted freely from Isadora's own writings, Mersky provides a fully dimensional portrait of this great early 20th century woman, whose provocative views on art, women's rights, education, marriage and love continues to inspire till this day.

Kres Mersky is an actress and writer of vast range, humor and sensitivity. Her specialty is one-woman shows, which she spends years researching meticulously. Mersky has graced stages her presence throughout California and Canada. She has also appeared on television shows – everything from Charlie's Angels to Murder She Wrote.
