Ohlone College Hosts Author and Creator of Skeptoid.com Discussing Health Scams & Myths
Fremont, CA—Brian Dunning, creator and host of the incredibly popular weekly science podcast, Skeptoid – A Critical Analysis of Pop Phenomena, comes to Ohlone College to share his science-based perspective about bogus health claims such as: Are vaccines really horrible poisons? Does detoxification really work? Unhealthy fast food: is it just a “super-sized” scam?
In his presentation Health Scams and Myths, presented by the Ohlone College Psychology Club Speakers Series, Dunning examines various trendy health claims and presents scientific data on each topic. He shares interesting personal stories about how these non-scientific ideas wreak havoc upon the unsuspecting public.
Brian Dunning’s weekly science podcast, Skeptoid at skeptoid.com examines a wide range of pop culture myths and urban legends. From Bigfoot, to conspiracy theories, to New Age healing techniques, no topic is safe from Dunning’s scientific inquiry. Don’t miss this great event. Buy your tickets today!
