Samson and Delilah Will Seduce You in Opera on the Silver Screen
Fremont, CA—The most amazing music and breathtaking bacchanalian dance spectacles ever conceived for the stage are coming your way in SF Opera’s high definition film version of Samson and Delilah. A radiant French opera depicting the Biblical story of love, seduction and betrayal; Saint-Saëns delivers an epic tale of a powerful man who succumbs to the wiles of a beautiful woman. Poignant vocals and beautiful music express the story of polar opposites who defy the odds to fall in love. Samson is devastated when Delilah’s true motives are revealed leading to his untimely ruin amidst the dramatic destruction of the pagan temple.
