McCray and Nagai bring “Pianistic Fire” to Ohlone College
Fremont, CA—California pianist Mack McCray teams up with Japanese pianist Yoshikazu Nagai to combine their united creativity on two pianos at the Smith Center at Ohlone College. McCray and Nagai illustrate the power of music with works by Bach, McCray, Gershwin, and Liszt.
McCray and Nagai have delighted audiences worldwide and have achieved numerous accolades. McCray’s recording of John Adams’s Phrygian Gates won a place on the New York Times list of Best Recordings of the Year. Yoshikazu Nagai has impressed audiences and critics in the United States and abroad with his fresh interpretations and dramatic presentation style. The Charleston Post called Nagai’s playing “pianistic fire.” Both McCray and Nagai share their passion for music and piano as faculty at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
