Ohlone College Ceramic Students Showcase Their Talent in Downtown Davis
Fremont, CA—Ohlone College ceramics department recently participated in the 22nd annual California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Art (CCACA) event in Davis, CA. There were 45 major ceramic sculpture exhibitions presented with over 42 colleges that participated from all over California on the weekend of April 29- May 1st. Ohlone College ceramics students created a gallery in Downtown Davis, featuring the best works from their respective ceramics classes. This conference was an opportunity for Ohlone students to interact with top artists in ceramics as well other like minded students from all over California for a weekend of creative instruction and collaboration.
The annual CCACA Conference is the largest professional art function in the region. The art works presented at the event vary from entry level ceramics students to well-known artists in the field. From April 29-May 1, the event showcased lectures and hands-on demonstration by renowned national and international ceramics artists on top of over 50 ceramics exhibits.
