Procedures for Students Blocked from Summer/Fall 2008 Registration

You are blocked from registering for Summer/Fall 2008 because for 2 or more consecutive semesters, ending Fall 2008, you either:

  1. had a cumulative grade point average (GPA) below a 1.75; or
  2. had 50% or more of your cumulative units consisting of poor progress grades (withdraws, no credit or incomplete) for all courses taken at Ohlone College.

Subject to Dismissal Status (2 semesters of either of the above)

  1. You are not allowed to register for Summer/Fall 2008.

  2. To have your registration block removed for Summer/Fall 2008 you must attend a Student Success Workshop. View the Student Success Workshop Schedule.

Dismissal Status (3 or more semesters of either of the above situations)

  1. You are not allowed to register for Summer/Fall 2008.

  2. To be re-admitted for Summer/Fall 2008 you must complete each of the following steps:

    • Step 1: Fill out a Student Reinstatement Petition (PDF) and Progress Report (PDF) (view with the free Adobe Reader software) forms for each of your current classes (both forms can also be obtained at the Counseling Department window).

    • Step 2: Make a counseling appointment.

    • Step 3: Bring each of the completed forms mentioned above to your counseling appointment and work with your counselor to determine whether or not you’ll be able to enroll for Summer/Fall 2008.
