Strategies for Change

There are many ways to clear up your academic record and get back on track. We hope the scenarios we listed above will assist you in understanding how choosing the right amount of classes can help you get back on track.

However, there are many other strategies that can help you have a successful college career at Ohlone. Here are a few other ideas:

  • Limit units
  • Increase study time
  • Reduce work hours
  • Use Tutoring Services
  • Utilize professors office hours
  • See a counselor each semester
  • Evaluate your schedule before the drop deadline
  • Time management strategies:
    • Decide on priorities
    • Reduce outside time-commitments
    • Allow for more free/flexible time
    • Plan for 2 hours of study per academic unit
