  1. Author and edit courses outlines, programs, certificates of achievement and certificates of completion on-line using the following features:

Ø      Step by step entry of all fields in the development or editing of a course, program or certificate.

Ø      Help instructions and point and click look up tables, which incorporate Ohlone College guidelines for completing the course outline.

  1. Maintain a current, accessible curriculum database including:

Ø      Current course outlines, certificate and program outlines

Ø      Courses meeting cultural diversity, distance learning, tech tools, and general education graduation requirements

Ø      All curriculum forms, e.g., Prequisite/Corequisite validation, Technology Mediated Instruction Addendum, Selected Topics, Special Projects

Ø      Agenda and Minutes

Ø      CAPAC Handbook

  1. Maintain an archive of historical course, program, and certificate outlines.
  2. Organize and centralize the District’s curriculum management process and procedures.
  3. Establish a web based proposal entry and approval process using the following features:

Ø      Graphical flow-chart which tracks proposal automatically through the approval process

Ø      Online review of course outline by CAPAC screeners, CAPAC subcommittees, and articulation officer.

Ø      Tracking of comments of the CAPAC screeners, CAPAC subcommittees, articulation officer, faculty course author, and Division Dean.

Ø      E-mail notifications and automated reporting

Ø      Online review of course outlines by total CAPAC Committee members.

6. Facilitate an efficient and timely course review process.

  1. Print course outlines and other forms that automatically format.
  2. Establish a web-based system that will facilitate consultation among full time and adjunct faculty and with colleagues at other campuses.
  3. Establish a curriculum resource center including links to outside resources.
  4. Track status of courses being submitted for articulation.
  5. Explore the integration of the CurricUNET Data Management System with the Datatel Data Management System.
