Getting Started with the DSPS - Disabled Students Programs and Services

  1. Apply to Ohlone College

    Go to Ohlone College Webpage and Click on “How to Enroll”

    Click on Apply online to complete the application

  2. Take the English and Math Placement Tests

    English and Math Placement Tests are given in the DSPS office. Please call the DSPS office to schedule a day and time to take the placement test. 510-659-6079.

    Placement tests are offered in the DSPS office Mondays – Thursdays 9:00am – 2:00pm. Please call to make an appointment to take the placement test. Due to limited seating, we may not have a computer available if you show up without an appointment.

    It is strongly recommended that students study and prepare for the placement test. For study guides and a practice test.

  3. Bring documentation verifying your disability to the DSPS office, Building 7, Room 7217, Second Floor
    • IEP or 504 Plan and
    • Psychoeducational Report
    • Latest High School transcript (if available)
    • Provide LD assessment from other institution
    • Medical Documentation signed by a medical professional
  4. Meet with DSPS Counselor

    Once your documentation is reviewed, you will be contacted by DSPS Program Assistant to schedule you an appointment to meet with a DSPS Counselor.

    The DSPS Counselor will help you develop an Education Plan to determine the classes in which you should enroll each semester as well as identify your educational limitations and create an Academic Accommodation Plan.
