Q. How does EOPS Online Counseling work?
Ohlone EOPS Students can use the (optional) EOPS Online Counseling using the form to request counseling. The EOPS Online Counselor will respond via email to online counseling requests once per week: Fridays between 9:00am to 12:00pm. Please note you may be required to provide additional information to complete your online counseling service request
Q. Can I use EOPS Online Counseling towards fulfilling the 3 EOPS Contact requirement?
Yes, as long as the EOPS Online Counselor confirms that your request is valid and can be handled online.
Q. What should I do if I submit an online request and don’t hear back from the EOPS Online Counselor by 12:00pm on Friday?
Please be patient. All requests for online counseling will be saved and processed in the order received. This a new service and once we see get a better feel for how many students are using this service we can adjust the work schedule of the EOPS Online Counselor. You can always schedule an in person appointment through EOPS by calling (510) 659-6152.
Q. How do I discuss my EOPS Student Education Plan (SEP) with the EOPS Online Counselor?
When the EOPS Online Counselor emails you in response to your request be ready to discuss any concerns you have about your Student Education Plan such as needing a copy of your SEP, and any updates or changes you’d like to make to your SEP.
Q. How do I discuss my Progress Reports with the EOPS Online Counselor?
When the EOPS Online Counselor emails you in response to your request be ready to provide electronic scans of your progress reports, and or cut and paste your Grade reports from WebCT/Blackboard and or emails regarding your class performance for the current semester.
Q. How do I discuss my EOPS Priority Registration with the EOPS Counselor?
When the EOPS Online Counselor emails you in response to your request be ready to provide proof that you have successfully selected specific course sections for next semester (before the registration date), or a copy of your class schedule for next semester (once EOPS Priority Registration has begun).
