- Approval of Minutes
- Shared Governance and Faculty – (I) Keller, Myers (15 minutes)
The Senate will discuss the role of the Faculty Senate and of the College Council as shared governance bodies. Emphasis will be on ways to encourage faculty participation and input through proposed opinion survey.
- Campus Leadership – (I/A) Myers (20 minutes)
The Senate will discuss faculty recommendations for campus leadership in 2008-2009 and consider drafting a resolution.
- 2008-09 academic calendar (A) Myers (5 minutes)
The Senate will vote the proposed 2008-2009 academic calendar. Recommendation to end final exams prior to commencement will be considered.
- Accreditation Self Study (I) Myers (30 minutes)
The Senate will begin formal review of the Accreditation Self Study draft. Sections that will be reviewed include:
- Standard I – Institutional Mission & Effectiveness
- Standard IV – Leadership & Governance
- Distance Learning Assessment
- Newark Center Report
- Shared Governance committees (I) Myers (10 minutes)
- Review committees list with suggested changes.
- President's Report - (I) Myers (10 minutes)
