Financial Aid Check Disbursement Policy

Ohlone College no longer disburses financial aid award via check.  The College has contracted with Higher One, using the My Ohlone Card.

Pell Grant and Cal Grant are disbursed using the My Ohlone Card. If the student has an outstanding balance with the College, the amount owed will be deducted from the grant check and the balance then mailed to the student.

For your disbursement to be released, you must do the following:

  • Be enrolled in a minimum of 6.0 units to receive the Cal Grant, FSEOG, Direct Loan (EOPS students must be enrolled in 12.0 or more units)
  • Make Satisfactory Academic Progress

Learn more about the My Ohlone Card.

WARNING: To accept Federal financial aid at more than one institution, for the same enrollment period, is illegal.  You will be required to repay the funds.

Fraud Policy

A student who attempts to obtain federal financial aid by fraudulent means will be reported to federal, state, and campus officials for prosecution.  Such actions are, therefore, subject to Student Disciplinary actions and suspension of receiving financial aid for unsatisfactory conduct.
