EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S REPORT
Golf Tournament very successful

Created a Scholarship Fund in honor of Jon Nakamatsu

Scholarships are being offered
20 $500 scholarships available, totalling $10K
Deadline for applications is 12/15/06
Annual Campaign slide presentation detailed all phases of campaign for 2007.
Goal to raise $20K and to build our donor base.
Additional comments by Dr. Treadway regarding scholarship program and Foundation’s relationship to it. We should increase the base of our recipients of Scholarships. Jan Vincent suggested involvement of EOPs program. Harry Avila made general comments regarding diverse communities in tri-city areas and use of advertising to promote Ohlone events that represent diverse communities.
FINANCE REPORT
Joanne Schultz – Goal to present as accurate and understandable as possible.
Foundation is in healthy financial situation
Details of financials addressed.
Need to address purchase of Nakamatasu CD’s.
Harry Avila suggested we have some graphs showing positions.
Melrose Forde suggested we look at an asset matrix.
Dr. Treadway suggested we hold an Annual Corporate Meeting of Board, Major Donors, Investment Managers, and selected students etc. to present a full financial picture and recognition of foundation support 2/8/07. Moved by Melrose Forde, 2nd Pat Danielson; Approved.
Discussion regarding a formal annual budget for Foundation.

The Foundation’s total assets have steadily increased for the past three years

We can invest general fund reserve in CDs
