- Gathered excellent ideas
from the public
- Jan Vincent - update of the
Newark Days booth
- Talked to people about
buying clusters of bricks. Think in terms of getting clusters such as a
group for Kaiser or LOV
- Official brochures for the
Brick program complete
- Capital Campaign
- Just about $300,000 in
cash received
- Plus about $400,000 more in
commitments
- Morgan Foundation -
$200,000 received
- Fremont Bank $250,000 pledged
- Stopwaste.org $110,000
grant
- Weiner $100,000 pledged
- Cargill, ETM $25,000 each
and others
- Engaged with Cisco, HP,
others
- $100,000 challenge grant
for the Brick program from the Foundation discussed at August 29th
Executive Board Meeting (coming from the general fund)
- Bob Bradshaw – will
represent Brick campaign to faculty
- Dr. Douglas Treadway and
Bob Bradshaw - we can probably raise more than $100,000 from campus
groups
- Action: Authorize $100,000
matching funds for ASOC, faculty, etc.

October 22nd Golf Tournament to advertise Foundation events

III. President's Report –
Dr. Douglas Treadway
- Record enrollment for
Ohlone's 40 years
- Frontage proposal
- Private development
- Will get bids on December
12 and then will 10 days to decide on the most favorable bid
- Generate $2 mil a year
- Bids to construct a parking
structure at the Smith Center and possibly also at the gymnasium
- Solar PV array will also
be built in
- These projects are not
being funded by district money - they will be self sustaining
- We will be outsourcing IT
management
- Expand attendance of board
meetings
- Rick Geha - invite
potential board members
IV. Financial Reports –
Joanne Schultz
- Not included in the packet
- they will be mailed out
- Investments did great
- General fund is also
flourishing
- We have a budget -

V. Meeting schedules
- Executive Board meeting on
November 1st at 8:00 at the Foundation Office
- Jan Vincent - Monday is a
difficult day for people
- Shirley – Cannot make

7th or the 8th is good for people
VI. Board Comments
- Our goals follow the
district goals – presented Dr. Treadway’s annual report
- Monitor is also included to
update us on the new campus
- Alberto Huezo -
congratulates Dr. Douglas Treadway on record enrollment numbers
- LOV's Elegant Affaire will
be 6 days after the Green Tie Gala – David Smith will MC
- Jan Vincent - Doug's annual
report was outstanding. Encourages all to attend next year.
- Dr. Douglas Treadway - have
outside faces at the board meetings - next time we can have a presentation
from the nursing program
