Event Archive: Ohlone College Newark Center Groundbreaking and Gala Celebration - Ohlone College Foundation

On May 24, 2005, the Ohlone College Foundation hosted an evening celebrating the Newark Center Groundbreaking. Dr. Josephine Ong-Hawkins, Executive Director of the Foundation, and Rick Geha, Foundation Board Chair, were co-masters of ceremony. The evening featured multi-ethnic dancers, scholarships presentations, a video and remarks from Dr. Doug Treadway, Ohlone College President, and Delaine Eastin, former California Superintendent of Education. The event was attended by 400 educational, community and political leaders.
