A Latin Experience

- a night of Portuguese port tasting, Latin cuisine, dancing and music to celebrate the Learning Alliance for Biosciences (LAB) project.

The LAB project, funded through a National Science Foundation grant, provides opportunities for underrepresented high school students to enter the biotechnology profession. Starting their sophomore year, selected students will take a series of biology and Personal Development courses. Upon graduation, they may continue their education at Ohlone and earn a certificate in Biotechnology after just one year – qualifying them for entry-level biotechnology jobs at just 19 years of age.
