When I was in kindergarten I aspired to become the wealthy CEO of Kleenex because it was the only brand I could spot everywhere I went. When I got to high school I wanted to just be active in the world and I hoped success would fall into my lap. My passion became working with youth through my church. Kids in my youth group question the point of college and justice when it appears that hard work doesn’t always equal success. My entire family tree is full of hard working individuals but the frustrating aspect is that no one has ever had the privilege to graduate from college with a degree to add credibility to all the labor they put forth. I’ve learned here at Ohlone that ambitious people are never content until every attempt at success has been made. I want to be a superlative attorney and eventually a judge in the juvenile court system because I would like to be an example to my community and to my younger relatives. Along with my judicial goals, I plan to become an investor in business opportunities that benefit members of my community and build a real estate empire, in order to accomplish this, I need a college education.

This scholarship not only encourages me but it subsidizes an investment that the college has already academically funded. I have poured my heart into this institution where the number one goal is to pump out successful professional individuals which is why I believe that I’m on the brink of making it especially if my investors still believe in my goals and potential. All these efforts can only prove that I will be another success story of Ohlone College. Every dream needs investors and I know that I am worth the investment.
