I am currently attending college to build a better life for myself, my husband and my future children. I have been attending college on and off for five years. At this time in my life I finally understand the importance of a college education. A college degree brings more stability and opportunities. My personal goal is to build a stable life for my family and myself. My career goals are to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Health Care and or in Nutrition. As I pursue these degrees I am framing the path I want to take with my education. I would like to help others increase their quality of life by helping them make more responsible choices with their health and wellness. Finding a career where I can help others and myself is my ultimate goal. Earning a college degree is the only way to obtain my personal and career goals.
As I pursue my education I find myself responsible for paying my own way. It is not always easy taking on that responsibility but it is one I must take on to pursue my goals. When I was younger I did not take advantage of the financial opportunities available to me. In this new phase of my life I am responsible for paying for my classes, books, supplies and any other educational needs. As I pursue my education these costs are going to increase. This scholarship will help alleviate some of the financial responsibility of pursuing a higher education. It is much appreciated.
