I wish to attend college because as a foster child statistics are against me. Most of foster youth don’t even finish college let alone pursue higher education. I am here in college to beat the odds and to make a better life for myself. I cannot see myself without getting an education and without the support of parents it makes it hard to pursue my dreams. I plan to transfer to the University of San Francisco and study Business Marketing and Ohlone is my first step to securing my future.
Scholarships will help me obtain my goal because after leaving foster care you have a sense of being alone and lots of reputability. Receiving these Scholarships will help ease some of the financial aspects of attending college.
