Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. Do I have to be an Ohlone College student to apply to Ohlone College Foundation Scholarships?
A. Yes, you must be enrolled at Ohlone College at time of application. You must also be enrolled at an institution of higher education at the time that checks are distributed. See the Foundation Scholarship Timeline for the distribution schedule.
If you have transferred to another institution of higher education at the time that scholarship checks are distributed, Ohlone College Foundation will send your scholarship check to your new institution.
You cannot receive a scholarship check unless you are enrolled at Ohlone College or another institution of higher education at the time of check distribution, regardless of whether you were enrolled at Ohlone College at the time of application.
Q. When are Ohlone College Foundation scholarships announced?

Q. When are Ohlone College Foundation scholarship recipients announced?
A. Please refer to the Foundation Scholarship Timeline. Recipients will be posted online on the Ohlone College Foundation website and the Ohlone College Scholarships website. Recipients will also be notified by phone and/or email.
Q. When are Ohlone College Foundation scholarship checks disbursed?
A. Please refer to the Foundation Scholarship Timeline.
Q. I have been selected to receive a scholarship. How do I obtain my check?
A. Checks will be automatically mailed out to scholarship recipients, as long as a thank you letter to the donor has been submitted. Please refer to the Foundation Scholarship Timeline for thank you letter due dates.
Q. Who do I address my thank you letter to?
A. Please address all thank you letters "To whom it may concern."
Q. Where do I submit thank you letters?
A. Thank you letters are to be submitted into the Ohlone College Foundation and will be forwarded to the scholarship donor.
