Steps for Seniors - Freshmen Connection Day 2009
The following steps are for Ohlone’s Priority Registration Process for high school seniors.
STEP 1: Attend a College Workshop
Every Spring, Ohlone representatives visit local high schools to provide students with information about Ohlone’s programs, services, financial aid options, and registration process. It is required that students interested in participating in the Priority Registration Process attend a workshop at their high schools or the make-up workshop on the Ohlone campus.
Please check with the high school’s Career Center after winter break to find out the workshop dates and times.
STEP 2: Complete the Ohlone College Application Online
Applications must be completed at least three (3) days before you take the placement tests (see Step 3 for testing information).
Applications for Summer/Fall will be available online Monday, March 2.
nce you complete your online application, you will be emailed your Ohlone Student ID Number. If you do not receive a Student ID Number, send an email to admissions@ohlone.edu or call (510) 659-6110 to request it.
If you need to show residency or citizenship documentation, please bring it to the Admissions & Records Office (Building 1, first floor). You will need to show this documentation before your Ohlone Student ID Number can be issued.
STEP 3: Complete the English and Math Placement Testing
Attend a placement testing session at your high school. Please check with your high school’s Career Center after winter break for exact testing dates and times.
If your high school is not in Fremont, Newark, or Union City, contact newstudent@ohlone.edu for additional test dates on the Ohlone campus.
You must have your Ohlone Student ID Number and show a photo ID in order to be admitted to the testing session. Study guides are available on the Placement Testing Center website.
STEP 4: Attend Freshmen Connection Day to Register Early for Classes
Saturday, May 15, 2010, 9:00am-3:00pm.
Check back in January to RSVP!
