A. Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 7:00pm in the Epler Gymnasium.

Q. Where and when do I meet for graduation?

A. Graduates need to be in the lower level of the Gym, east end, no later than 6:15pm.

Q. Is there a graduation rehearsal?

A. No. Graduates are expected to read and understand the information on the "Instructions for Graduates" document they were given when they bought their cap and gown.

Q. Where do I get my cap, gown, and tassel?

A. Academic regalia - including caps, gowns, tassels, and honor cords - are available for purchase in the Ohlone College Bookstore starting Monday, May 4, 2009. For 2009 the cap, gown, and tassel cost $34.95 plus tax; the honor cord costs an additional $16.99 plus tax. The Bookstore also has extra tassels available for $6.99 plus tax.

Q. Should I arrive on campus wearing my cap and gown?

A. No, that isn't necessary. You can put on your academic regalia once you get to the lower level of the Gym.

Q. What time should my guests arrive for the ceremony?

A. Seats will start to fill up around 6:00pm, so please tell your guests that they should plan to arrive by 6:00pm. Guests who arrive once the processional starts may have to go to the overflow room to watch the ceremony on television monitors, wait outside the Gym, or stand for the entire ceremony.

Q. Is there a limit to how many guests I can invite to the ceremony?

A. No. Graduates can invite as many guests as they would like. Tickets are not required for the ceremony. However, seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Q. Is there special seating available for disabled guests?

A. Yes. There will be a special section in the bleachers near the platform for guests with special needs. Signs will mark this special seating area.

Q. Will interpreters be available at the ceremony?

A. Yes. Guests needing an interpreter will be able to sit in a special section in the bleachers near the platform.

Q. Will my guests need to pay for parking?

A. No, parking is free for the graduation ceremony.
