Position
Under the supervision of the Dean of Fine Arts, the Theatre and Technology Instructor will be responsible for a stagecraft class., taught at Irvington High School. The class consists of basic instructor in technical theatre, lighting and sound, theatre and production management.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach assigned course in discipline or related areas
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in theatre, dance or television with an emphasis on design or technology plus two years of significant experience in theatre, television, dance, or related entertainment fields OR the equivalent.*
- Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of community college personnel and students and the communities served by the College.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Theatre, Dance or Television design, technology or production management teaching experience.
- Ability to work well with students, staff, faculty, guest artists, etc., in a team environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of scenic design principles and practices.
Special Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders, lift 25 lbs. and safely and effectively operate production shop equipment and power tools; teach in a classroom and theatre setting.
