Classes Added
- Critical Thinking: Seven Habits of Effective Teens will now be held at Newark Memorial High School in room 703
- For the Love of Reading (Grade 4-6) added ‘Period C’ at Fremont
- Science Extravaganza (Grades 4-6) added Session I/II at Newark
- After Hours for Period D (2:15pm - 3:45pm) at Newark
- Lego Extreme Machines added Session IV AM at Fremont (replaces Session IB)
- Lego Limits added Session IV PM at Fremont (replaces Session I C) (Session I A Lego Blimps not running)
- NASA: Academy of Future Space Explorers added Session III in Fremont (replaces CSI Chemistry lab)
- Spy Academy added Session IV in Fremont (replaces CSI Chemistry Lab)
- Spanish IA Enrichment (Grades 8-9) Session III-AM at Fremont
- Beginning Badminton (Grades 5-8) Session II A/B at Newark

Summer 2009 OFK Program
Kids hard at work engineering their LEGO® robotic vehicles.This year’s 2009 OFK Summer Enrichment Program registration will begin on Thursday, April 2, 2009.

Catalogs will be available in Fremont and Newark schools the week of March 16.
This year, the program sessions will be offered between two locations (Ohlone College and Newark Memorial High School) beginning June 29 and ending on August 6. The new sessions will be structured and offered as follows:
- Session I: Newark Memorial High School and Ohlone College Fremont Campus
- June 29 to July 9
- Session II: Newark Memorial High School and Ohlone College Fremont Campus
- July 13 to July 23
- Session III and IV: (One week day camps only) Ohlone College Fremont only
- Session III: July 27 to July 30
- Session IV: August 3 to August 6
Daily Schedule
- Period A: 8:30am - 10:00am
- Period B: 10:15am - 11:45am
- Lunch: 11:45am - 12:30pm
- Period C: 12:30pm - 2:00pm
- Period D: 2:15pm - 3:45pm
- After Hours: 3:45pm - 5:15pm
Class Fees
Sessions I & II will cost $99.00 per course each unless printed otherwise. Sessions III & IV will cost $169.00 per course unless printed otherwise. Some courses require material fees and are also indicated individually per course. All OFK class registrations are final and no refunds will be awarded unless a class is cancelled.
Class Changes
There is a $20 fee per class per student for schedule changes at any time during the registration period for any reason. OFK reserves the right to change a student’s schedule if he or she has been enrolled in a class that is not consistent with appropriate grade level. Unless otherwise stated, courses that are repeated in other sessions do not reflect content progression. Parents are strongly encouraged not to enroll students in the same class in later sessions.
Class Confirmations
You will receive email confirmation and receipt immediately after you complete your online registration. Retain your class confirmation and bring it with you on the first day of class. Room assignments will be available on the OFK website no later than June 15. Check our website www.ohloneforkids.com for room information.
Junior Golf Camp
- The first session of Junior Golf camp will run June 22 - June 26.
- No Golf camp the week of June 29 - July 2.
- Golf camp will be held at Country Clubs Golf Center in Sunol on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays for all sessions. Transportation is not provided.
- Morning Session: 8:30am - 11:30am
- Afternoon Session: 12:30pm - 3:30pm
