2009 Drawing Contest: Call for Student Art Submission

The contest is open to all students in grades 3-8; previous Ohlone for Kids attendance and participation is NOT required.

How to Enter

During the contest period, visit www.ohloneforkids.com to download and complete a printable contest entry form. To participate, entrants must draw a cover for the 2009 Ohlone for Kids program that reflects the activities and experiences that are typically enjoyed by students in the summer enrichment program.

The Contest

On an 8.5 x 11-inch, plain-white sheet of printer/copier paper, contestants are asked to incorporate all of the following four (4) required elements into submissions:

  • Official Ohlone College logo. The official Ohlone College logo (as seen on the right),
  • The Ohlone College Motto: A World of Cultures United in Learning,
  • Educational enrichment themes, activities, or courses offered in the OFK program,
  • Cultural diversity

Requirements

All submissions require an Official Entry Form (English, PDF) (Spanish verion, PDF) that can be found on the Ohlone for Kids website. The entrant’s name, school name, and school address should also be written the back of the drawing along with a completed entry form. By entering this contest, all entries will become the sole property of the Ohlone for Kids program and will not be returned. Participant art may be used for future advertising for the Ohlone for Kids program. Incomplete, illegible, or inappropriate entries will not be accepted. All finalist artwork will be displayed on the Ohlone for Kids website.

All entries must be received no later than the end of business (5:00 PM) on December 5, 2008. There is no limit for entries per person.

One first place winner will be awarded with four (4) complimentary summer classes and will be featured as the cover page on the 2008 catalog and the Ohlone for Kids website. Second and third places will be awarded two (2) complimentary summer classes and will receive honorable mention in the catalog and on the website. Prizes are not transferable and may only be used during the 2009 summer program.
