New Student Orientation - Counseling Department

Please be advised that most courses for the fall term are full, however there are some openings.  Therefore, students are encouraged to attend orientations as soon as possible after completing their placement tests.

The New Student Orientation is designed to help familiarize students with Ohlone College and techniques that will help them successfully reach their academic goals. Students are not required to attend orientation before enrolling in classes. However, attendance is highly encouraged and has proven to help students be more successful and make a smoother transition into college. "Tips for Success," "Getting the Most Out of Student Resources," "How to Build a Schedule," and "How to Register for Classes" are just some of the useful topics covered.

Freshmen Days: In May of each year, graduating high school seniors are invited to participate in Ohlone's priority registration process: Freshman Days: Ohlone College Orientation.
