Degrees, Certificates, and Transfer Programs - Online Orientation
Associate of Arts/Associate of Science Degrees (AA/AS Degrees)
To receive an Associate Degree, students must complete 60 units in the following course areas:
- General Education courses (minimum of 18 units)
- Major courses (20 units)
- Electives (to bring the number of units to 60)
Here is some helpful information regarding Associate Degrees:
- Of these 60 units, 12 must be completed at Ohlone.
- Students must have a GPA of 2.0 to be eligible to graduate.
- Although an A.A. degree is not required for transfer, it is strongly encouraged.
- Receiving an A.A. or A.S. degree does not guarantee transfer.
- It is important to consult with a counselor to ensure you are meeting the requirements for your educational goals.
