Choosing Your Courses - Online Orientation
Understanding Your Placement Test Scores - Placement Center
All students who plan to earn any type of degree (Associates Degree or transferring for a bachelor’s degree) will need to take English and math courses. The beauty of a community college system is that we offer different levels of preparatory or basic skill development courses to get everyone working at the college level.
The placements you received prior to starting this orientation reflect the level at which you performed at the time you took your placement tests. (f you are unsatisfied with your placement results please see the retest policy. When you register for classes, the computer will not allow you to take courses beyond your placement levels in English and math. For math, it may not allow you to register for a lower level course.
Please have the scores from your placement tests in front of you so that you will be able to follow along.
