Earning a certificate is a great way to improve your skills in a focused area. It's also beneficial to have these certificates on a resume or 4-year college application.
Fast Track Certificate/Certificate of Accomplishment
- Designed for students who already have a Bachelor's degree but would like training in a specific area, usually for job promotion or enhancement
- Recognizes student achievement in a particular emphasis area
- Awarded by individual departments
- Typically less than 18 units, usually 1 year
Certificate of Achievement
- Completion of an organized series of courses in a particular emphasis area
- Awarded by Ohlone College
- 18 or more units
- 2.0 GPA in specified courses
