Counselors at Ohlone are committed to the success of students. They are available to assist students with academic, vocational, and personal issues. Students can best reach their goals with a solid educational program of study, which can be developed with an Ohlone College counselor.

Special workshops and Personal Development courses are offered by counselors to help students with academic and vocational concerns. New students who take college success classes are more successful in college than those who do not. To increase your chances of college success, enroll in one of these student success classes today:

  • PD-101 (.5 units) - College Survival Techniques
  • PD-105 (3 units) - College Success
  • PD-111 (1 unit) - Strategies for College Success
  • PD-113 (2 units) - Strategies for Succeeding in College

New students who take college success classes are more successful in college than those who do not.

The average GPA for students who took study skills classes in Fall 2007 was 2.71 compared to the average of students not enrolled in PD which was 2.21. The rate of students who took study skills classes in Fall 2007 and re-enrolled for the following term was 95% compared to 56% for students not enrolled in PD for Fall.
