Fremont campus: Student Health Center, Buildings 16 and 17; (510) 659-6258.

The $17 per semester student health fee pays for primary care, first aid, emergency response on campus, physical examinations, referral services and health education for Ohlone College students. Immunizations, lab work, HIV testing, and x-rays are provided at a nominal fee. The Student Health Center is a collaborative venture with Washington Township Hospital and the Ohlone Community College District. Services are provided by a licensed nurse practitioner and a physician.

Ohlone College is committed to preventing sexual assault by eduacating students on safe sexual practices. For detailed information regarding tips for avoiding sexual assault, ways to help people who have been raped, and sexual assault crisis information, visit the Student Health Center website.

The Student Health Center would also like to remind students that Ohlone is a Smoke Free College (http://www.ohlone.edu/org/healthcenter/smoking.html).

  • On the Fremont campus, smoking is prohibited except in general use parking lots.
  • On the Newark Center campus, smoking is prohibited everywhere, including parking lots.

Free and confidential Personal Counseling and Life Coaching are available to enrolled Ohlone students on a short term basis of 6-8 sessions per semester.

If you have temporary moments of concern or confusion about your direction, relationships, sexuality, and future plans, know you are not alone. Everyone faces these kinds of crossroads and we have two personal counselors who can offer support and fresh perspectives. These counselors are available in times of crisis, or if you just want to talk with someone outside your circle of friends and family.
