Although each college has its own specific admissions requirements, there are some general requirements that students should keep in mind:
Students will need to complete…
- 60 transferable units
- Students who will be entering a 4-year college with 60 units are considered Juniors.
- 2.0 minimum GPA. However, certain campuses or certain majors may be more competitive and require a higher G.P.A. and/or specific classes to be completed before admission to the school.
- Areas A 1-3 and B 2 on the CSU GE pattern or Areas 1 and 2 on IGETC completed with a “C” or better. However, completing the full CSU or IGETC patterns of General Education is highly recommended and may at some point be required for all of the CSU's.
- Lower division major preparation course work is highly recommended and may be required for certain majors at certain CSU's. As always, check with a counselor if you have specific questions.
