Similar to the CSUs, each UC has it's own admissions requirements. There are some requirements, however, that are universal to all UCs:
- 60 transferable units
- The UCs require that all transferring students come in as first-semester Juniors, with 60 units.
- 2.4 minimum G.P.A. However, certain campuses or certain majors may be more competitive and require a higher G.P.A.
- A minimum of 2 English classes (English 101a and either English 101b or English 101c), 1 transferable Math class, foreign language (equivalent of 2 years of high school foreign language – “C” grade or higher for all 4 semesters in the same language) and 4 General Education classes from IGETC Areas 3-5 completed with a “C” grade or higher. However, full completion of IGETC or UC campus specific general education pattern is highly recommended.
- Lower division major preparation course work
