About the Peer Mentor Program
The goal of the Peer Mentor Program is to recruit prospective students in the community and local high schools to attend Ohlone College, and help with first-year student transition. Since its inception in 1999, Peer Mentors have become involved in many aspects of the Ohlone College Outreach Program, as well as other campus events. Each semester, Mentors participate in a variety of activities both on and off campus, providing high school students and community members with information regarding Ohlone's academic programs, student services, and campus life.
Some of the events Mentors participate in are…
- College orientations
- High school workshops
- College fairs
- Welcome Day
- STAR Program
- Campus Tours
- Placement testing
