Curriculum and Scheduling Office
What We Do
The Curriculum and Scheduling Office is responsible for maintaining CurricUNET, the website for Ohlone’s course outlines and programs; assisting faculty and division deans with courses and programs; serving as a resource to the Curriculum Committee; ensuring that Ohlone is in compliance with Title 5 regulations regarding courses and programs; producing the Class Schedule and Catalog; and overseeing the scheduling of classes as well as reserving rooms for non-class events and meetings.
Please see the Scheduling Flowchart (PDF) (accessible version) to determine which procedure to follow. Below is a quick reference, but if you are unsure, the flowchart provides directions and contact information.
If you are a student
Your club advisor needs to go to the Student Activities website and fill out a Campus Event Form for either the Fremont or Newark campus. If your event is approved, Student Activities will schedule the room for you.
If you are from an outside organization or anyone wanting to use a campus facility for a non-college sponsored event
Go to the Facility Rental website. Ohlone College does rent District facilities, subject to availability and other restrictions.
If you are an instructor or employee wanting to reserve a room for a campus event, such as a club meeting
Go to the Student Activities website and fill out a Campus Event Form for either the Fremont or Newark campus. If your event is approved, they will schedule the room for you.
If you are an instructor or employee wanting to reserve a room for college business, such as a staff or division meeting*
Submit a request to the Curriculum and Scheduling Office as follows:
- Send an email to Jackie Vetter at email@example.com.
- Your email should specify the day and date, time, event, size of room needed, and room(s) preferred.
- Requests should be submitted at least two weeks before you need confirmation of your room assignment. Please keep this timeline in mind if you need to advertise your meeting.
* Note: If your event or meeting relates to a class, the request must go to your Division Office. Please contact your Executive Assistant. Return to text.
