Emergency phones are located on the second floor of Buildings 2, 4, 6, and 8.

  • Dial 6111 from campus phones
  • Dial *81 from campus pay phones
  • Dial (510) 659-6111 from off-campus phones
  • For emergencies on campus, DO NOT HESTITATE TO CALL 911 and THEN NOTIFY CPS.
  • Location: Building 20

Newark Center Campus

To Contact CPS at the Newark Campus

Blue emergency phones are located in each of the campus parking lots.

  • Dial 2311 from campus phones
  • Dial (510) 742-2311 from off-campus phones
  • For emergencies on campus, DO NOT HESTITATE TO CALL 911 and THEN NOTIFY CPS.
  • Location: Room 1001
  • Calls to the main CPS Office at (510) 659-6111 will be answered by a dispatcher who will contact the officer at Newark to respond

On Duty Hours for Campus Police / Safety and Security Officers

Campus Police / Safety and Security Officers are available:

  • 6:00am to 11:00pm on weekdays (Monday - Friday)
  • 7:00am to 10:30pm on weekends (Saturday, Sunday)

CPS personnel can always be reached by phone during the listed hours even if there is no one in the office.

Emergencies

On the Fremont campus, emergency phones are located on the second floor of Buildings 2, 4, 6, and 8 of the Fremont campus.

On the Newark Center campus in each of the parking lots, emergency phones are marked by a tall blue pole with a blue light at the top.

All campus payphones can be used to call the CPS Office by dialing *81.

For emergencies on campus, DO NOT HESTITATE TO CALL 911 and THEN NOTIFY CAMPUS POLICE.

After Hours Assistance

When personnel of the CPS Office are not available after hours, you can reach:

  • Fremont Police Department at (510) 790-6800 if you are at the Fremont campus
  • Newark Police Department (510) 793-1400 if you are at the Newark campus
  • or, dial 911 in case of an emergency
