Dramatic and imposing, Henley has a distinguished career in television and film, equally skilled at comedy and drama. His television appearances include Law and Order SVU, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, and Numb3rs. He has had roles in films such as State of Play, Collateral, Four Brothers, and Miami Vice; and in theatre performances, including Waiting for Godot and Richard II.
Henley's performance will take us through the history of black artists in stage and cinema beginning in New York in the 1820s, through the 1960s' black arts movement, to today's black artists in contemporary theater and film, and will include excerpts from his internationally acclaimed play Jungle Bells.
