Smith Center Presents!

Mezzo-soprano Laurie Rubin possesses "compelling artistry… communicative power… an earthy, rich, and poignant quality," wrote New York Times chief classical music critic Anthony Tommasini.
Rubin, who studied at the Oberlin Conservatory and the Yale School of Music, acquired a mastery of several languages and an extensive repertoire, although blind from birth. She has performed in operas and as a soloist, and formed a music performance group, EAR Unit, performing at the Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and the White House, among other venues.
