Well-known local guitarist, teacher, and composer Richard Kendrick debuts several original ensemble pieces. In collaboration with his music students, the group performs compositions in jazz, blues, rock, and other popular styles.

Richard Kendrick Biography
Richard is a well known guitarist, teacher, and instrumentalist/composer in the local community. A long time resident of the Mission San Jose area, he earned his Masters Degree in music at Cal State East Bay (performance/classical guitar) after graduating from Ohlone. He has over 40 years of playing experience, and besides classical guitar, he is also a highly skilled jazz and blues/rock guitarist.
Richard has studied with some of the best guitarists in the Bay Area, including Tuck Andress and Warren Nunes. He has been awarded the citation for outstanding musicianship at the Foothill Jazz Festival, and his Havana Dream CD received some airplay on KCSM in 2006.
He has owned and operated the Mission San Jose School of Guitar since 1997, and has been a adjunct music instructor at Ohlone for the last 15 years. He has self published several books and many musical compositions, and his G-String Guitar Method has proven very successful in his teaching.
