Facilities Tour:
Amphitheatre (Outdoor)- Gary Soren Smith Center for the Fine and Performing Arts
This is an open air theatre that backs up to the main building and Lam Plaza. With an expansive view of the San Francisco Bay, a concrete stage measuring 50 feet by 80 feet has a sunken orchestra pit. The raked seating area has grass levels. The college now owns a winched truss system for on-stage lighting needs. The lighting circuits are controlled from a side balcony with its own dedicated ETC board. There are 200 circuits throughout the outdoor space including the plaza.
