Fremont Symphony - Opening Night Pops Concert: Gershwin and Friends

Highlights from Gershwin's Porgy and Bess featuring soprano NaGuanda Nobles and tenor Trente Mornat. The evening includes songs and orchestral selections from the golden age of Broadway - the 1920s and the 1930s - and the memorable artists whose music lit up the Broadway stage.
Ms. Nobles was named 2008 Shreveport Opera's Singer of the Year and won the first annual Irene Dalis Vocal competition in June 2007, sponsored by Opera San Jose. Ms. Nobles also played Mimi in Fremont Opera's 2007 production of La Boheme.
Trente Morant is an active performer as well as conductor, arranger and accompanist. A resident of the Bay Area for more than 20 years, Mr. Morant is a three-time winner of "Artist in Residence" from the California Arts Council. He reprises his signature role as "Sportin' Life" for the Fremont Symphony.
