CSU-GE or IGETC Certification - Transfer Center

The CSU GE (California State University General Education) pattern is a series of courses that community college students can use to satisfy lower division general education requirements at any campus of the California State University (CSU).

The IGETC (Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum) is a series of courses that community college students can use to satisfy lower division general education requirements at any campus of the University of California (UC) or California State University (CSU).

The CSU GE Certification identifies courses that students can complete at Ohlone College to meet the lower division general education requirements at all CSUs. The IGETC Certification identifies courses that students can complete at Ohlone College to meet the lower division general education requirements at all CSU and UC campuses.

Students who are following either the IGETC (Plan C) or CSU GE (Plan B) pattern should apply for certification with the Admissions and Records office the semester prior to transfer. Students who have attended other colleges in addition to Ohlone College should make an appointment with an Ohlone College counselor.
