Transfer Admission Guarantees (TAGs) - Transfer Center
Transfer students have an opportunity to secure a seat at a specific college or university prior to the regular admission application period through the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program. By signing a TAG agreement and meeting TAG requirements, admission to your chosen university is granted.
Attend a workshop or visit the Transfer Center to learn more about TAGs and its requirements with various CSUs, UCs, and Private Institutions. Work with your counselor to prepare the TAG, which outlines course requirements completed and planned. The TAG should be prepared approximately one year before transfer but course planning begins earlier than that so start early to ensure acceptance and smooth transfer to your chosen college or university.
Interested in TAG?
- Step 1: Attend a TAG Workshop
- Step 2: Meet with the appropriate TAG Counselor to sign TAG agreement.
- Step 3: Keep a record of the agreement; complete the course work in the educational plan that accompanies the agreement; at minimum, maintain the gpa specified in the plan.
- Step 4: Don’t forget to still apply for admission to the university during the priority filing period.
