Transfer Day 2009

A big "Thank You!" for supporting and encouraging students to explore their options through Transfer Day 2009!

Despite the heavy rain and wind…

  • 500+ students attended Transfer Day and explored their transfer options;
  • 40+ universities representing programs from Hawaii to Washington, D.C. came to Ohlone;
  • 45+ student volunteers cheerfully helped reps from their cars, passed out programs, assisted peers with questions, collected surveys, and assisted with set-up and clean-up;
  • 15+ faculty/staff volunteers made Transfer Day accessible and fruitful for all who attended.

We want to give special shout-outs to:

  • Math instructor Jeff O’Connell for braving the rain to provide parking support to reps
  • Campus Police/Safety officers Ben Peralta, Reggie Mundy, and Team for responding to the severe weather and providing guidance to the arriving reps
  • The APASA Club, Peer Mentors, ASOC members, and ICC reps, for representing and volunteering their time, effort, and can-do attitude

We also extend our appreciation to:
