Transfer Day 2008 is on Wednesday, September 17, 2008!

Campus Invitation Policy

Due to significant interest, the planning committee had to come up with the following policy for prioritization of invitees.

Every Fall semester, Ohlone College hosts Transfer Day for its currently registered students. The purpose of Transfer Day is to provide our students, counselors and other interested persons a setting where information and guidance concerning higher education opportunities in California can be explored and shared.

Due to space limitations, Ohlone’s guidelines state:

Transfer Day’s purpose is to bring CSU and UC representatives, as well as independent universities and colleges, to meet with currently registered Ohlone students. The order of preference for Transfer Day is UC/CSU campuses; AICCU (Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities) members; College Night participants; Bay Area colleges and universities; and other colleges and universities. Exceptions are to be reviewed and determined by the Transfer Day Committee.

An initial list is sent from the California Community College System Office indicating which colleges have been invited and should attend. The colleges appearing on this list are our first priority. However, after those colleges have been assigned space, Ohlone College does welcome other colleges and universities to participate. Depending upon space, the guidelines above will be instituted and followed.

To Participate in Transfer Day

To participate in Transfer Day, please place your university on the waitlist by contacting Shelby Foster at sfoster@ohlone.edu with the following information:

As space allows, you will be contacted and attendance of this even will be confirmed.

To Participate in College Night

College Night is the college fair event for the Fremont Unified School District. If you are interested in participating in College Night, please contact Linda Kimmel, College/Career Specialist, at (510) 687-6377 or lkimmel@fremont.k12.ca.us.

Getting to Ohlone

Located near the top of the Sunol Grade off Mission Boulevard in Fremont (Directions). Parking for university representatives will be available in lot “O” located toward the top of Pine Street (Fremont Campus Map).
